How we build

Full disclosure: I build with AI. Here's exactly how, and why it saves you money.

No smoke and mirrors. I use modern AI tools as part of how I build, the same way any good developer uses them today: as acceleration, never as a replacement for judgement. Every decision, every design and every word is still mine. Here is precisely what that means for your website.

Why I use AI

One person, doing agency-level work — honestly priced.

Cribbar Creative is me, Sam. When you hire me you get one experienced person handling your strategy, design, copy, build and support, start to finish. No account managers, no junior handoffs, no outsourcing.

Modern AI tools are a big part of how I make that possible without cutting corners. Every hour I don't spend hand-typing repetitive code or staring at a blank page is an hour I spend on the things that actually move the needle for you: your brand, your customers, how the site is structured, and how it turns visitors into enquiries.

This isn't about cutting quality to cut cost. It's about refusing to charge you for the boring, repetitive work that good tools can already handle. The craft, the thinking and the finish stay exactly where they should — with a human who has spoken to you and understands your business.

Where the line sits

What AI does, and what always stays human.

"Using AI" means very different things in different hands. Here's mine, in plain terms.

What AI helps with

The grind — done faster
  • Writing the repetitive, boilerplate code every site needs
  • Turning a sketch or idea into a first working layout
  • Drafting first passes of content from a clear brief
  • Researching what competitors do and where the gaps are
  • Spotting technical and SEO improvements to review
  • Turning messy analytics into readable reports

What stays 100% human

The decisions that matter
  • Every design, layout and creative decision
  • Your strategy, structure and conversion path
  • The final wording of every headline and paragraph
  • A human review of every single thing before it reaches you
  • The conversation, the understanding, the judgement
  • Your ongoing support, by the person who built it

Think of it like a designer's Figma or a developer's code editor. The tool speeds up the work. It never makes the decisions.

Clearing up scope

What I don't do.

Because "we use AI" can mean lazy shortcuts elsewhere, here's exactly where I draw the line.

I don't feed a prompt into a site generator and ship itThose "describe your business, get a website" tools produce something generic. That's not a Cribbar site.
I don't use Wix AI, Durable or 10Web buildersGenerator-tier tools are a different product at a different price point. I build properly.
I don't publish AI-drafted content unreadA first draft is a tool. Everything you publish is edited, fact-checked and finished by me.
I don't call AI output "finished"Nothing reaches you without a human going over it properly, line by line.

What it means for you

You get more, for less, without the corners cut.

Faster turnaround

Less time on repetitive work means your site is designed, built and live in a fraction of the usual time.

Honest pricing

You pay for craft, strategy and support, not for hours spent on work modern tools already handle. Better value, same quality.

Still fully bespoke

No templates, no generator output. Every site is designed around your business, your customers and your goals.

Straight answers

The questions people actually ask.

No. AI might help draft a first pass or generate boilerplate, but every design decision and every published word is directed and finished by me. You're getting a site built by a person, using good tools, not a site generated by a machine.
I do — every time. Nothing reaches you unread. The person reviewing your site is the same person who designed and built it, and the same person you'll deal with afterwards.
That's completely fine — just tell me and we'll work that way. It's your project. I'm upfront about my process precisely so you can make that call.
Because most agencies charging traditional rates use the exact same tools I do — they just don't tell you. I'd rather be honest about how your site is built and price it fairly than pretend it's all done the slow, expensive way.
The opposite. The time saved on repetitive work goes straight back into your design, your content and your conversion path. The parts a visitor actually feels get more human attention, not less.

Honest process. Real results.

If that's how you want a website partner to work — upfront, fast, fairly priced and human-led — let's talk.
